One way of testing the water before taking the plunge is “renting before you buy" with property in Spain. Sometimes making a quick decision can be hard and when it comes to making one of the most expensive decisions in your life, having the option of “trying before you buy" will help with any doubts that may enter your mind.

Having a contractual agreement between yourself and the owner whereby in the event you do decide to purchase the property, the sum of monies already paid for rental will be deducted from the sellers selling price. If you chose not to go ahead with the property purchase, the seller keeps the money paid for the rental of his/her home. On both sides the agreement is beneficial.
